Soft Reset
- Make sure any data you need is backed up by using Backup and Restore on your phone.
- Open the Settings app on your phone.
- Look for the Reset option within Settings.
- Depending on the version of Android your phone runs this may be under Backup & reset within Advanced settings, System, or System & updates.
- Tap on Reset Phone.
- If you wish to keep your device’s data, then select this option when prompted.
- Enter the password to your phone if prompted.
- Allow your phone to restart, this may take a little longer than normal.
- If you wish to restore your backed-up data afterwards, this can be done by logging into your Google account after startup.
Hard Reset
- Switch off your phone and wait for several seconds.
- Hold down your phone’s Power button and Volume Down button at the same time.
- Once you see an LG logo, keep holding the Volume Down button but release and hold down the Power button again.

- Use the Power button again to select Yes on the next two menus.
- Your phone will now reset.
